For those interested in sun, sea and sand, Kambos is ideal. A holiday resort stretching for 2kms along the South West coast of Samos, it boasts some of the best sand and shingle beaches on the island.

Ideal for families and couples, it is quiet and relaxing with a small selection of holiday amenities. As well as a few shops for souvenirs and basic essentials, there is a good selection of bars and tavernas, overlooking the ocean. Indeed, many of the tables are right at the waters edge and are a perfect place to linger whilst enjoying some gorgeous sunsets.

Further along the coast, 3kms away, is Psili Ammos, a wonderful stretch of golden sand with water sport facilities and safe swimming for children. For a change from beach life, there is a bus service around the island with regular transport to other resorts during high season. Alternatively, the quiet roads surrounding Kambos make car hire a pleasant option with excursions to the pretty fishing hamlet of Kokkari and the stunning mountainside village of Marathokambos a must.
