Holidays to Oslo

A holiday in Oslo is a myriad of forests, fjords and fresh water swimming. If you like the outdoors, you are going to love this city. On a short break to the possibilities to explore are endless, from sightseeing ferry rides to long walks in one of the several parks housing museums and sculptures, there is something to occupy day and night.

The most famous attraction in Oslo is the Royal Palace, a magnificently grand building housing Norwegian's monarchs. Not far behind that is the equally grand Stortinget, home to Norwegian Parliament; an imposing building in the middle of the city. If you are looking for more jovial pastimes, try the Holmenkollen ski jumping hill which is open all year round, or take a walk through one of the many beautiful forests.

Classed by some as the party capital of Scandinavia, nightlife in the city will not disappoint while you are on holiday in Oslo. There are a large number of bars, restaurants and clubs to enjoy, but you pay for what you get and although the majority of the eateries are on the expensive side, there are some cheaper alternatives mostly in the form of oriental cusine.
