At the southernmost tip of China, among some of the most stunning natural landscapes in the world, lies the busy mainland harbour of Hong Kong.  

Hong Kong is truly one of the most mysterious, exotic and glamorous destinations you could ever visit. It's a thriving metropolis, with a uniquely Chinese hustle and bustle that was steadfastly maintained in spite of almost two centuries of British colonial rule.  

Nowadays, the colourful streets offer a fascinating kind of laid-back liveliness that you're unlikely to encounter anywhere else in the world.  

It's simply superb if you're a shopaholic, from intricate local wares, to an impressive selection of foods and spices from all over the globe. The Golden Mile is a street of stalls and shops offering glorious sights, sounds and smells that you'll never forget, and Causeway Bay is a great place to haggle yourself a bargain, as is Stanley Market and the exciting Temple Street night market.  

If you like your Chinese food, then Hong Kong cuisine, while similar to Chinese, is quite distinctive, with subtle mouth-watering dishes, and delicacies to suit all tastes. There's a myriad of restaurants, however, but none as unique as the Jumbo Floating Restaurant moored in the middle of the harbour!  

Hong Kong is also, of course, one of the business centres of the world, and this amazing city's energy, friendliness and sheer vitality is quite unlike anything you'll find anywhere else.
