Halki is a tiny, idyllic Greek island completely unspoilt by tourism and the modern consumer world in general. Arriving at its pretty port town of Nimborio is like stepping back in time. The island has a very small population, around 400, and they all live in Nimborio. The rest of the island is unpopulated, including the deserted former capital of Horio, which is overlooked by dramatic castle ruins. 

There are some amazing beaches here and you can always be sure of finding a hidden cove or quiet patch of sand. This really is the perfect place to enjoy the relaxed, unhurried pace of Greek island life in beautiful surroundings.
