Holidays to Ayia Napa

A few years ago, Ayia Napa was rivalling Ibiza as the place to head for serious cubbing, hedonistic nights and superstar DJs. Last minute holidays to Ayia Napa meant a couple of nights in the best discos in Europe. It's still a lively, cheeky sort of place, that brings out the party animal in everyone. But Ayia Napa is far more than a few superclubs and a beach party or two. Take the beach - a delightful stretch of pure, clean sands, awarded Blue Flag status, and patrolled by lifeguards. Ayia Napa has successfully repositioned itself as a family friendly resort - a tag it takes very seriously, and the hardened party animals have taken note and fled!  

Should you seek sanctuary from the main beach, follow the coast around and, over a few rocky outcrops, you'll discover secret coves to laze the day away on. The main centre of the resort, Paralimni, is three miles north of Ayia Napa - and a good place to shop for bargains. That said, cheap holidays in Ayia Napa offer lots of value right along the seafront too, with its range of fast-food, fine dining and sports bars serving honest, freshly made meals. For a touch of Cypriot history, visit the monastery right in the centre of town (look for the old fig tree) - it's a spiritual, magical place. Package holidays to Ayia Napa offer families with teenagers a great, lively and sporty week or two in the warm Cypriot sun, just don't come for peace and tranquility.
