At the heart of the Sibenik-Knin county is the capital Sibenik, located at the mouth of the Krka River it is rich with cultural, historical and natural monuments. The waterfalls at the confluence of the river into Adriatic are spectacular not something you see on an ordinary package holiday in Croatia. Made even more unique by the true Croatian flavour, unlike many of the neighbouring towns Sibenik was not established by ancient Romans but by a Croatian king.

The beach is a hive of activities with all manner of water sports on offer including yachting, rowing and there are several diving clubs that provide diving courses and underwater photo-safari. If you get bored of the busy sandy beach spend a day exploring some of the ancient monuments including the famous Cathedral of Sibenik, one of the most original architectural projects of the late Middle Ages.

There are many restaurants offering domestic specialities and in the Dolac quarter there are nearly a hundred cafes playing music. On a package holiday in Sibenik you¿ll never be stuck for things to do, this city is certainly a first class resort.
