Holidays to Chania

Flights to Chania will take you to the west coast of Crete, just 9 miles from the airport. Chania is a picturesque location, based around the Old Town. There is a great deal to see and do in Chania. Chania is home to some excellent beaches. There is a huge beach which can be followed from the west side of Chania to Kolimbari, a quiet resort. Other superb beaches can be found just outside of the town. Secluded coves and other coastal resorts can be explored in this region.

You could find yourself wandering in the colourful gardens, castles, churches, flower-decked houses, art galleries, museums, monasteries and other ancient cites. There is also the chance to get a real taste of the Greek culture in Chania, particularly since the town was occupied by the Venetians.  

Chania is one of the best places in Crete to do a spot of shopping. There is a large public market in the town centre, whilst there are more traditional shops in the backstreets. The nightlife is plentiful also. The harbour is the main place for nightlife in Chania. However, the taverns, bars and restaurants are full of atmosphere too.
