Holidays to La Pineda

Forming part of an almost continuos ribbon of holiday developments from Salou to Cambrils, La Pineda is a Catalonian resort where the living is easy. With its nieghbours adding even more facilities to share, there's little chance that those seeking package holidays to La Pineda will be bored. La Pineda, hoever, isn't what you'd call action-packed. Of the three resorts along this stretch of the Costa Dorada, we'd recommend La Pineda most for couples or families with young children - who'll love the fact that cheap holidays to La Pineda offer all the thrills of nearby Salou, with none of the all-night bars which aren't to everyone's taste. That said, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in your resort, but they're a little calmer, and a touch more family-oriented. Kids clubs, cabaret shows, bingo and karaoke are all available, just off the palm-lined promenade (which, incidentally, is where you'll find most of the resort's residents taking the air before dinner each evening).

The resort's excellent water park and dolphinarium will amuse everyone, which Port Aventura, a short drive away, promises even bigger thrills. For a touch of history, Vila-Seca's Roman remains and historic old town offer a rare glimpse of the Costa Dorada before the holiday companies discovered it! Vila-Seca is La Pineda's old town, with medieval streets and centuries-old villas shaded from the midday sun. Last minute holidays to La Pineda combine the the very best of the Costa Dorada in one delightful location.
