Holidays to Cambrils

They call Cambrils the gastronomic heartland of the Costa Dorada. And with good reason - this fishing town turned holiday resort is a seafood lover's dream, with the freshest fish landed daily, combined with the fruits of the farms and hills (olive oil, chorizo sausage, fruity wines...) to create a mouth-watering, ever-changing menu of regional specialities. This seafaring town extends an especially warm welcome to families, too, with leisure and entertainment enough for all to share. The laid-back resort's cheif appeal is its proximity to a range of excellent, safe and sandy beaches. Package holidays to Cambrils (and last minute holidays to Cambrils too) take advantage of this, with a string of good quality apartments and hotels lined up and ready for inspection along the coast. 

The town's busy port is also worthy of inspection, too, with its recently renovated quays and moorings home to a flotilla of luxury yachts amid the town's fleet of hardworking trawlers. From here, a path follows the Garbi river inland, past an ancient sanctuary and watchtower - hinting at the resort's turbulent past. Archeological excavations near to town (which you can visit) show that this area has been popular for thousands of years. We can understand why, Cambril's mild climate, delicious cuisine and pure air are enough to warrant one or two weeks a year of anyone's time. And that's before we start talking about the resort's easy access to some of Tarragona's most enchanting hilltowns and ancient cities.
