Last minute holidays to Lagos might disorientate you. In the warmth of a summer evening, a walk through the streets and squares of Lagos will make you question whether you've taken the right plane. There's a suitably commanding statue of the chap in the town's central square. Visit today, and you'd think the voyages of discovery are still very much ongoing. 

Cheap holidays to Lagos means that the town attracts a healthier, more cosmopolitan mix of tourists than anywhere along the Algarve. Kiwi backbackers, Scandinavian families, and Brits who know that, the further west you travel along Portugal's sunny south coast, the better life gets.
