Situated on the southern tip of Portugal, the Algarve is a beautiful province, stretching from golden Atlantic coastline to the mountains of Monchique and Caldeirao in the north and to the Guadiana River on the Spanish border in the east. Venture inland and you'll find unspoilt valleys with their patchwork of orange groves and vineyards as well as secluded hill-top villages with Moorish-style architecture.
