The Greek island of Aegina is certainly one of the country's prettiest. Picturesque houses, winding alleys, endless olive groves and brilliant blue skies are typical of the island. And if you prefer to experience genuine Greek culture rather than the home from home of some larger holiday resorts Aegina is an ideal choice.
The island is only 83 square kilometres in size and relatively under populated. However there is still a good selection of bars and restaurants to choose from, there's even a handful of night clubs too. But Aegina is incredibly unspoilt and if you want a place to unwind and enjoy an extremely unhurried pace of life this lovely island is an excellent choice.

- Growing the best pistachio nuts in the world.
- The Temple of Aphaia - The temple is one of the most beautiful classical temples in Greece and also the oldest surviving. It stands on the top of a pine-clad hill above Aghia Marina.
