This is the place where Italians come to holiday - so expect a friendly welcome in but not necessarily in English!

Beaches and fun are the dominant themes in this vibrant resort. There are 15km of sands known as La Marina - and, like all resorts, on this coast they are well supplied with umbrellas and sun beds.
 
If you are up early enough, you can watch the fishing boats go out from the working harbour in the morning - by the evening you could be eating freshly caught fish and seafood in one of many charming and inexpensive al fresco restaurants. If you follow the Viale Principe Amedeo away from the harbour you'll soon find yourself in the old town - amongst a warren of charming narrow streets and squares lined with cafes and bars.

Together with symbols of the present there are plenty of sign of the past - check out the spectacular Tiberius Bridge which dates from 14AD and the Roman amphitheatre..

After dark the town sheds its sleepy sun drenched feel and becomes a bit of a party animal - no clubs as such but most bars have dance floors which quickly become packed with revellers.

Rivabella Is a small seaside spot 2km from Rimini - a gorgeous beach sheltered by a scenic woodland - its ideal if you need a peaceful escape from lively Rimini for the day.
